On 29 May 2009 Rolex opened together with Wempe Jewellers its first boutique in Germany at 184 Kurfuerstendamm in Berlin.

This joint project represents a further continuation of the long-standing business partnership between the two companies. It all started in the 1950s when Hellmut Wempe, third generation of the Hamburg-based family company, introduced the brand Rolex on the German market and was the first to sell Rolex watches in his five Hamburg shops existing at that time.

The Rolex Boutique is now the 26th branch that Wempe runs worldwide. "We are very happy to add another facet to our almost already historical cooperation with Rolex by opening this boutique. It honours our competence and our many years of commitment and dedication to the mechanical watch", says Kim-Eva Wempe, who has been managing the operational business of the company Wempe in the forth generation since 2003.

The listed building at 184 Kurfuerstendamm is the perfect location. Craftsmen from 12 different trades built a truly unparalleled showroom. The boutique's interior distinguishes itself by subtle lines and the use of the most exquisite materials, such as light-coloured leather, custom-made wall panelling made of plane tree wood, wavelike fluted aqua glass, and Guatemala marble.

An extraordinary large selection of horological masterpieces from the Geneva manufacture awaits the visitor in this generous and noble ambiance. Collection highlights as well as frequently sought-after classic items are on display here.
