With it, Lange succeeds in squaring the circle, i.e. constructing a rectangular wristwatch on the dial of which the date can be shown nearly five times larger than on the dials of mechanical watches of comparable dimensions. The custom-tailored, shaped movement fills every last corner of the case with artful watchmaking in the finest Lange style.
