The Portuguese watches were born on the world’s seas. The mythos of IWC Portuguese watch grew from the colourful history of a seafaring nation, whose mariners conquered the world’s seas and discovered new continents. Centuries later, in the 1930s, two Portuguese merchants motivated the manufacture in Schaffhausen to build the first Portuguese wristwatch.
